EMILY TRASK

Long Live the King

3/23/2024

I had the gift and challenge of a lifetime, getting to tackle the role of King Henry in Shakespeare's Henry V at the Pacific Conservatory Theatre - PCPA.
Under the direction of Mark Booher, and with a cast of close to 50, this immersive epic production was one for the history books and one I will never forget.

"Trask... inspires us, as Henry inspired his troops to follow him into the fray... she has energy and focus to spare, along with the voice and physicality of youth, and her strength lies in her intellectual interpretation of the text in weighing the complexities and moral choices of war."
- SLO REVIEW
"Emily Trask fits easily into Henry’s crown and properly portrays the English monarch as a seemingly fearless force to be reckoned with. Sometimes her eyes do almost as much talking as Shakespeare’s dialogue. While reading tally sheets of lives lost on both sides during England’s invasion of France, Trask’s contemplative gaze is meditative, mournful, and without caricature.... Trask is adept during instances of comic relief as well." - THE SUN
