Game On!1/5/2012 Entrance to The Folger Theatre Hello from Washington D.C. and The Folger Theatre! I'm in rehearsals for my next show, The Gaming Table by Susanna Centlivre, and I am simply blown away by this city, The Folger Theatre and Folger Shakespeare Library itself, and the enire Gaming Table team. From the "all girl rock band" of designers, to our fun, fearless, and brilliant director, Eleanor Holdridge, to the outstanding cast that is bringing this wild and obscure Restoration Comedy to life... I could not be more enchanted. It doesn't hurt that I get to play Valeria, a young female scientist and philosopher, a liberated woman and mind, written well "before her time." Not only do I actually get to disect things on-stage, but I get to reference Descartes in one line and tell a dirty joke the next. I am in love. Also! The Folger has asked myself and the other Emily T. in the cast to write the production blog for the show. The Dramaturg in me is thrilled. Check it out if you get a second! http://folgertheatre.wordpress.com/ And if you're in the D.C. area from Jan. 24th - March 4th check out The Gaming Table. I bet you'll enjoy it. http://www.folger.edu/woSummary.cfm?woid=677
